Carole Storm, CEO of Storm Medical Billing

As the owner of a medical billing company, it’s safe to say that I live for the little details.

It’s true, and it’s a funny little thing about my personality that makes me great at what I do. I take care of the forms, the codes, the paperwork, and all the small details that inevitably make billing a big headache for most.

For me, I love it. The joy is in the details. And don’t worry. I’m not just a stickler for the details that landed me in this career. As far as training and compliance goes, I have that in spades, too.

I have an Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology with the AHIMA credential of RHIT. (This is medical billing speak for the American Health Information Management Association as a Registered Health Information Technician.) I am also licensed with Texas Department of Insurance qualified for Life, Accident, Health & HMO.

I also have an in-depth knowledge of the official coding guidelines for ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes. I abide by the standards of Ethical Coding and HIPAA regulations and have a working history with commercial and private insurance carriers.

I keep up with changing rules and regulations, especially in my specialty billing area—the mental and behavioral health industry. I’m also able to answer questions directly from clients (if needed) and can support you with any challenges or needs around credentialing.
